Multi-Agency Raid in Bad Salzuflen Uncovers Immigration Issues

On September 17, 2025, Bielefeld Main Customs Office's Financial Control Schwarzarbeit (FKS) joined forces with Lippe District Police and Bad Salzuflen Ordnungsamt for a joint inspection operation in Bad Salzuflen's city center. The primary goal was to combat black work, illegal employment, and ensure workplace safety and public order.

The operation involved questioning 17 employees about their employment conditions. The Ordnungsamt played a crucial role in securing construction sites and maintaining public safety. However, the inspection uncovered fundamental issues with the identification documents of some employees. Four individuals' residence status could not be determined on-site and were subsequently handed over to the immigration authority. Inter-agency cooperation with the police was vital for the successful implementation of these measures. Future joint control actions can be addressed by contacting Ralf Wagenfeld, spokesperson of the Hauptzollamt Bielefeld.

The joint inspection operation in Bad Salzuflen's city center has highlighted the importance of collaboration between different agencies in combating illegal work and enforcing legal regulations. Further joint inspection operations are planned to continue this fight.
