**New Vande Bharat Express Brings Revolution to Himalayan Rail Travel**
The Vande Bharat Express train, a symbol of modern rail travel, has recently started semi-high speed services in Himachal Pradesh, marking a significant advancement in regional rail travel. The train, which made its inaugural run from Amb Andaura, Una, is now operational on the Amb Andaura to New Delhi route.
The train departs Amb Andaura at 1:00 pm, with a scheduled arrival time of 6:25 pm at New Delhi. For passengers, the ticket price for a journey in a Chair Car with catering is Rs 1075 for the New Delhi to Amb Andaura route and Rs 1240 for the return journey. For those seeking a more comfortable travel experience, the ticket price for an Executive Class journey with catering is Rs 2045 for the New Delhi to Amb Andaura route and Rs 2240 for the return journey.
The Vande Bharat Express 2.0 is lighter and faster than its earlier versions, consuming about 25% less electricity compared to older trains. It can reach a speed of 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 52 seconds and has a maximum speed of 180 kilometres per hour.
Safety is a priority on the Vande Bharat Express 2.0, with the incorporation of the indigenously developed Train Collision Avoidance System "KAVACH". This advanced technology helps prevent collisions and enhances overall train operation safety.
Passengers on the Vande Bharat Express 2.0 will enjoy modern amenities such as side recliner seats in all classes, previously only available to Executive Class passengers. The coaches are also equipped with 32'' screens that provide passengers with information and entertainment, compared to 24'' on the previous generation.
The Vande Bharat Express 2.0 will stop at Ambala, Chandigarh, Anandpur Sahib, and Una. The Delhi - Una Vande Bharat Express will start its regular services from October 19, running six days a week except for Fridays. The train will depart from New Delhi at 5:50 am and arrive at Amb Andaura railway station at 11:05 am.
The air purification system on Vande Bharat Express is designed and installed on both ends of the Roof-Mounted Package Units (RMPUs) based on recommendations by the Central Scientific Instruments Organization (CSIO), Chandigarh. This feature, along with the photo-catalytic ultraviolet air purification system, ensures a safe and healthy travel environment for passengers.
The Vande Bharat Express train service in the Himalayan region offers several key benefits. It dramatically reduces journey times compared to road or conventional rail options, enhances passenger experience with executive seating and on-board amenities, boosts regional connectivity and economy, and reduces air travel monopoly by offering a more affordable and accessible alternative to flights.
The Vande Bharat Express train service in the Himalayan region is a transformative development combining speed, comfort, safety, and technological innovation. It strengthens connectivity, supports regional development, and provides a safer, more efficient alternative to road travel in challenging terrain. This marks a historic step in modernizing rail infrastructure in the region.
The Vande Bharat Express train, not only revolutionizing rail travel in the Himalayan region, but also setting new standards in modern transport, is expected to significantly influence various sectors. For instance, the automotive industry might witness increased demand for passenger vehicles as people may opt for train travel over air or personal vehicles. Moreover, the finance sector could see a boom as more people take to train travel, leading to an increase in ticket sales and subsequent revenuegeneration. Additionally, the finance industry may also support the development of such innovative transportation systems, given the potential for growth and revenue opportunities.
