New Leadership at SimCorp: Peter Sanderson Takes on CEO Role
Peter Sanderson has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SimCorp, effective immediately. Sanderson, who has a distinguished professional background in investment management and financial services leadership, will be based in London. He succeeds Georg Hetrodt, who is retiring after 27 years with the company, effective at the end of the year.
Sanderson's career in the financial industry spans over four decades, refined through a series of senior roles. Before joining SimCorp, he served as Group Chief Executive Officer for GAM Investments from 2019 to 2024. During his tenure at GAM, Sanderson gained insights into SimCorp's software as a direct client, providing him with a strategic perspective on the platform's value.
Prior to GAM, Sanderson held senior positions at BlackRock Investment Management, where he served as Managing Director of Multi-Asset Investment Solutions, Financial Markets Advisory, and was a member of the European Executive Committee. His earlier experience includes roles at Mondrian Investment Partners and KPMG.
SimCorp's Chair, Christian Kromann, expressed confidence in Sanderson's ability to help propel SimCorp's ambitious objectives.
