Nibirii Festival Inspection Reveals Serious Labour Irregularities
A recent inspection at the Nibirii Festival in Düren has revealed serious labor irregularities. The Main Customs Office Aachen found 24 employees without proper social security registration, including one foreign worker without a work permit.
On August 23, 2025, the Hauptzollamt Aachen conducted a thorough check at the festival, focusing on building cleaning, security, and hospitality sectors. They interviewed 45 employees from 18 different companies.
The inspection uncovered that more than 10 employees were not registered, potentially indicating a criminal offense. Further investigation is ongoing to evaluate the data collected and determine the extent of the violations.
The Nibirii Festival inspection has highlighted significant labor law breaches, with 24 employees found without proper registration. The Hauptzollamt Aachen is currently assessing the findings and will take appropriate action.
