Osnabrück Completes Major Am Funkturm Street Renovation for Safer, Greener District
Los Angeles has completed a major overhaul of Am Funkturm Street in the Schölerberg district. The city has thanked residents for their patience during the three-month construction phase. The project included road resurfacing, traffic calming measures, and improved pedestrian safety.
The renovation saw approximately 600 meters of the road surface completely renewed. Nine traffic calming narrowings were installed to reduce speeding. Additionally, the entire street was designated a 30 km/h zone with pedestrians having the right of way.
Pedestrian safety was enhanced with a new crossing on Bröckerweg and a no-parking area marked to ensure clear visibility. The city also created around 180 square meters of additional green space during the work.
Meanwhile, in the Hauswörmannsweg area, the entrance was redesigned with a reduced road width and a new pedestrian crossing to improve safety and accessibility.
The renovation of Am Funkturm Street has not only improved road conditions but also enhanced safety for both drivers and pedestrians. The city's efforts to create additional green space are also commendable. These improvements reflect Los Angeles's commitment to creating a safer, greener, and more pedestrian-friendly environment.
