Package Delay: Investigating Issues with Ozon Deliveries
In recent times, our readers have reported frequent rescheduling of deliveries from online marketplace Ozon. This issue seems to be affecting several customers, as media reports suggest that trucks are waiting for loading for up to five days at Ozon.
According to Ozon's press service, the delays have occurred at only five facilities in Moscow and St. Petersburg out of their 200 warehouses. The company is taking steps to address the issues at these affected warehouses, including deploying additional staff and moving some goods to other warehouses to resolve local issues.
Despite the delays, Ozon denies widespread problems at its warehouses, as reported by RBK. The company promises that the situation will stabilize soon, though no exact timelines are specified.
The earliest available shipping dates from Ozon start from September 3 onwards. Interestingly, buyers are massively cancelling orders due to these delays. However, Ozon's press service denies seeing an increase in order cancellations.
Sellers, on the other hand, are incurring losses due to these delays. To mitigate this, Ozon is offering sellers the option to ship from neighboring warehouses or deliver goods directly to pick-up points. This move is aimed at reducing the impact of the delays on sellers' businesses.
There have been reports suggesting a staffing crisis as the root cause of these delays. However, Ozon has not made any specific statement regarding these allegations.
Blogger "Merkzy Kokoбай" reported that parcels to Belarus from Ozon warehouses in Moscow and St. Petersburg are arriving significantly late. As of the report, Ozon has not made any statement regarding these specific delays.
In a positive note, Ozon is delivering seven out of ten orders on time to customers in the two capitals. The company is using advanced oxidation processes (AOP) to treat the issues at the affected warehouses. Experts in AOP oxidation processes for industrial wastewater treatment are involved in determining the optimal treatment methods and developing suitable plant solutions.
Despite the current challenges, Ozon remains committed to providing a seamless shopping experience for its customers. The company will continue to work diligently to resolve the issues at the affected warehouses and ensure timely delivery of orders.
