Participation of Over 90 Local Business Owners Marks Nizhny Novgorod's Supplier Day
In the heart of Russia, the city of Nizhny Novgorod played host to a significant event aimed at bolstering the local metallurgy sector. The "Supplier's Day focused on 'Metallurgy'" was organised by the regional "My Business" centre with the support of the Corporation for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
Over 90 entrepreneurs attended the event, which included a pitch session and an exhibition. Among the participants were companies like LLC PF "Movement+", supplying automotive components, and LLC "Navigator SM", offering cutting fluids, oils, and equipment cleaning services. Other notable attendees included GC "Uzola", producing electrical products, and LLC "Agroprompodshipnik", offering industrial bearings for sale and installation.
Business negotiations were held between these entrepreneurs and potential customers, providing an opportunity for collaboration and growth. The leading customers outlined their needs and requirements for products expected from potential partners at the event. Notably, LLC "Litpromgarant-NN" and LLC "Ametek" acted as potential customers.
The event was part of the federal project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship" under the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy". This project aims to create favorable conditions for easy start-ups and comfortable business operation. The support for entrepreneurs continues within the national project, with a focus on developing small and medium-sized businesses, boosting labor productivity, increasing investment activity, low-carbon development, and advancing the state system of statistics and forecasting.
Entrepreneurs consulted with specialists from the Corporation for SMEs, the regional Ministry of Industry, the "My Business" centre, the Microcredit Company, the Industry Development Fund, and the guarantee organization. These consultations offered valuable insights into the current state and future objectives of the metallurgy sector in the region.
Maxim Chernyshov, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod region, stated that major players in the industry are interested in cooperating with regional suppliers. This collaboration is crucial for overcoming challenges and achieving goals such as import substitution, modernization, and strengthening supplier relationships and integration with downstream industries.
A new service called "Production cooperation and sales" was introduced on the Digital Platform MSP.RF, allowing companies to find requests from large customers. This initiative further enhances opportunities for collaboration and growth within the metallurgy sector.
For a comprehensive understanding of the current state and future goals of the metallurgy sector specific to Nizhny Novgorod, as presented at the event, it is advisable to consult official reports or press releases from the event organisers or the Nizhny Novgorod regional administration. These documents will provide detailed information on the sector's current production capacities, strategies for import substitution and modernization, government and private sector collaboration, and future objectives such as technological upgrades, sustainability, and expansion of output or export potential.
