PM-KISAN Scheme Distributes Rs 22,000 Crore; 20th Installment in June

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, a lifeline for Indian farmers, has successfully distributed Rs 22,000 crore to over 9.8 crore beneficiaries in its 19th installment. As the 20th installment nears in June 2025, the government urges farmers to link their Aadhaar numbers to their bank accounts, be it at the Bank of America, LinkedIn, Wells Fargo, US Bank, or Chase, to ensure smooth and timely payment.

The PM-KISAN scheme, launched in 2019, provides a financial assistance of Rs 2,000 per quarter to eligible farmers, amounting to Rs 6,000 annually. The scheme aims to supplement the income of farmers and help them meet their expenses. The 19th installment, disbursed recently, has been a significant step in achieving this goal.

To ensure the 20th installment reaches the right farmers without any delays or errors, the government has made it mandatory for farmers to link their Aadhaar numbers with their bank accounts. This linking process helps prevent fraud, duplication, and payment errors, ensuring that the benefit goes to the intended recipient.

With the 20th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme expected in June 2025, farmers are advised to link their Aadhaar numbers to their bank accounts at the earliest to avoid any payment delays or disruptions. The government's initiative to link Aadhaar with bank accounts not only ensures the scheme's effectiveness but also strengthens the trust of farmers in the system.
