New Farizon SV Combi Electric Van Offers Spacious Passenger and Cargo Capabilities

Chinese van maker Farizon has unveiled two new electric variants: a large-capacity taxi and a multi-passenger Combi. The new models, which are currently only available in the Chinese market, offer a mix of cargo carrying abilities and passenger space.

The Farizon SV Combi is a spacious electric van variant designed for operators needing more passenger capacity alongside cargo space. It is offered in two lengths in the UK market: the L1 (5 meters) with up to 3.8 cubic meters of load space, and the longer L2 (5.5 meters) which increases cargo volume to 5 cubic meters. The Combi can be configured with either five or six seats across two rows.

Key features and specifications include: - An estimated driving range of 319 km on a single charge. - Charging capability from 20% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes. - Likely powered by the same 228 bhp motor and equipped with a 106 kWh NCM battery pack that is used in the top-spec Farizon SV models.

The design of the Farizon SV Combi balances passenger space and a large cargo area, aimed at commercial operators needing flexibility. The second row of seats features a wide central aisle, providing enough room for third-row passengers to easily and quickly locate their seats without complicated folding mechanisms.

The new seven-seat model, like the van versions, features a powered sliding side-door with a 900mm opening and a double doors that open to a 1780mm wide loading aperture. The interior of the Combi is equipped with cupholders, a multi-function storage box, and USB Type-C charging ports in each row.

A 1,000 vehicle order from Hong Kong-based taxi company Big Bee has made right-hand-drive production for the UK market more viable. However, as of August 2025, no confirmed UK release date has been announced for the Farizon SV Combi, but there is evident intent to expand availability globally, including potential UK availability soon.

The Farizon SV Combi was launched at the Hong Kong Auto Expo 2025 and is currently available in China. Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group, the commercial business division of Geely, is the company behind these new electric vehicles. Geely also owns the Volvo, Polestar, and Lotus brands.
