Preparing Development Plans for Krasnoyarsk Solonets
Rebuilt and Expanded Highways Await Soloncy
Governor Mikhail Kotyukov has tasked the administration of Krasnoyarsk with preparing development plans for the town of Soloncy, now administratively part of the city's district. The governor made this announcement at a meeting on the reconstruction of the western bypass.
A 5-kilometer stretch of the Northern Highway, from the interchange on Prospect Kotelnikova to the new interchange near Drokinsky, is currently undergoing reconstruction. Plans include fully replacing the asphalt concrete covering, installing barriers, and most importantly, setting up lighting.
Reconstruction costs are estimated at 980 million rubles. Authorities promise that traffic on the renewed four-lane highway will reopen by fall.
Following that, work on the two-level intersection on Prospect Kotelnikova will commence. The overpass will be expanded by 8 meters, pedestrian-fast lanes will be constructed, road surfaces will be reinforced, drainage, lighting, sidewalks, and an underground pedestrian crossing between "Novalemond" and Soloncy will be built.
Work on this project is estimated at 1.8 billion rubles, with completion slated for 2027.
As Minister of Transportation for Krasnoyarsk Krai Dmitriy Zotin explained, this three-year reconstruction project will culminate in a high-quality, well-lit four-lane highway from the regional capital to the airport in time for the city's 400th anniversary.
Governor Kotyukov further reminded that after administrative reform changes take effect soon, the once part of Emelyanovskoye District's outskirts will become a full-fledged part of the Siberian megapolis.
"Now, it's essential that the administration of Krasnoyarsk starts preparing development plans for this territory, taking into account the completion of this project. We've looked at how access points will be organized, how Soloncy will further develop. After all, this will effectively become a urban-road network," Governor Kotyukov stated.
Residents of nearby and rapidly growing settlements Suncheny and Nanjul often complain about monstrous morning traffic jams on the route towards Krasnoyarsk. Many of their residents work in the city, take their children to city kindergartens or schools.
The Krasnoyarsk Regional Ministry of Transport DELA clarified, that according to the Federal Law, activities concerning automobile roads of common use of local significance fall under the jurisdiction of local self-governance bodies. Therefore, transportation issues in Soloncy were previously expected to be addressed by the Emelyanovskoye District with its budget.
However, with the municipal reform and annexation to Krasnoyarsk, Soloncy now has entirely new prospects for development.
Potential Development Opportunities
When a town integrates into a larger administrative unit, several potential developments may occur:
- Infrastructure Development: The integration may lead to improvements in infrastructure such as roads, public transportation, utilities, and telecommunications, enhancing the quality of life for residents and attracting businesses.
- Economic Opportunities: Becoming part of a larger administrative unit can provide access to more resources, both financial and human. This could lead to investments in local businesses, industries, and services.
- Urban Planning: Combined governance may result in more comprehensive urban planning strategies, potentially leading to better land use, zoning regulations, and community facilities.
- Environmental Considerations: Larger administrative entities often have more resources to manage environmental issues, such as waste management and pollution control.
- Social Services: Integration may lead to improved access to healthcare, education, and other social services for residents.
To get specific details about Soloncy's development plans, it would be beneficial to consult local government documents or contact local authorities directly. They would have the most accurate and up-to-date information on any proposed developments following administrative changes.
The upcoming infrastructure developments, including the rebuilt and expanded highways, may significantly alleviate the monstrous morning traffic jams in and around Soloncy,
With the integration of Soloncy into the city of Krasnoyarsk, potential development opportunities arise, such as infrastructure enhancement, economic growth, and improved urban planning, all of which could contribute to the town's overall development in the finance, industry, and transportation sectors.
