New Appointment at the VDDI: Martin Dommer Takes Over as Head of Press and Communications

Martin Dommer, who has a background in public service, has been appointed as the new Head of Press and Communications at the VDDI - Association of the German Dental Industry. This marks a significant transition in his career, as he moves from his previous roles in public service to the dental industry.

Dommer's career in the City of Cologne began in 2014. He held various positions, including in the Office of the Mayor and the Department of Integration and Diversity. Since 2024, he has been serving as Head of Press, PR, and Communications. Prior to his appointment at the VDDI, he worked as a spokesperson for the Social Affairs Department of the City of Cologne and also served as Press Spokesperson for the German Adult Education Association.

In his new role at the VDDI, Dommer reports directly to Markus Heibach. This is his first position in the dental industry. His appointment follows the departure of Agnes Plümer, who has been succeeded by Dommer as Head of Press and Communications at the VDDI.

Dommer's predecessor, Dr. Anastasia Zolbin, held the position before Plümer. The VDDI, as the Association of the German Dental Industry, plays a crucial role in representing and advocating for the interests of the dental industry in Germany.

With his extensive experience in public service and communication, Dommer is well-equipped to lead the VDDI's Press and Communications department. His appointment is expected to bring fresh perspectives and ideas to the dental industry.
