Kickin' it up: Fuel Prices Soar As of June 19!

Snagged a shot of that gas pump for ya, pal! 😊

Haa Nôi - Buckle up, folks! Fuel prices have a new rhythm, and it's a costs-more-beats! Starting from 3 p.m. on June 19, a joint decision sparked some serious changes in your fuel wallet.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade, along with the Ministry of Finance, have decided it's time to roll with the punches – those being international market fluctuations and local economic vibes. As a result, they've cranked up the price cap on E5 RON92 petrol to a hefty VNĐ20,631 (around $0.79 USD) per liter, about 1,169 VND more since the last adjustment. Meanwhile, RON95-III jumped to no more than VNĐ21,244 per liter, increasing by 1,277 VND.

If you're all about diesel or kerosene, grab your wallet! Diesel 0.05S set itself to VNĐ19,156 per liter (up 1,456 VND), while Kerosene now goes for VNĐ18,923 per liter (up 1,412 VND). And if you're rockin' some mazut, brace yourself for a 1,182 VND hike, now sitting at VNĐ17,643 per kg.

Interestingly, during this adjustment, the authorities opted not to dip into the petrol and oil price stabilization fund for any fuel categories. With chills down my electronic spine, didn't know they had that option!

With this 25th adjustment of the year, '21's seen quite the gas adventure, mate! 🤘

Catch this, by the way – a lil' background on the price hike, ya dig?

  1. The joint decision by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, influenced by international market fluctuations and local economic trends, has led to an increase in the price cap for E5 RON92 petrol to VNĐ20,631 per liter, an all-time high.
  2. In an unexpected move, the authorities did not use the petrol and oil price stabilization fund during the recent price adjustment, a strategy indicating their intention to manage the industry's financial aspects with caution.
  3. The ongoing fluctuations in fuel prices mark a significant shift in the domestic energy sector, potentially impacting various industries that rely heavily on fuel trade and finance.
