Prime Minister supports CT Group's aggressive advancement in cutting-edge technological innovation
Vietnam is witnessing a technological renaissance, with the country's largest technology and innovation conglomerate, CT Group, leading the charge. The Prime Minister, Phạm Minh Chính, has expressed strong support for CT Group’s advanced technology development initiatives, commending the company’s dedication and strategic investments in cutting-edge technologies.
During a recent working session, the Prime Minister directed relevant government agencies to review and reform regulations to facilitate CT Group’s access to essential resources such as land and infrastructure. Notably, the Government approved a concessional loan package worth VNĐ 500 trillion (approximately US$19 billion) to support science-technology, innovation, digital transformation, and strategic infrastructure projects.
The meeting, which included leaders from ministries, sectors, and CT Group, focused on science-technology development, innovation, and digital transformation. The discussion included CT Group's development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), artificial intelligence (AI), and semiconductor technology.
CT Group's efforts align with Vietnam's development priorities in high-tech sectors and digital transformation. The company is pursuing a self-reliance strategy to master advanced technologies across nine high-tech sectors. These sectors include semiconductors, AI, UAVs, green digital currency, carbon credit platforms, zero-emission housing, electric vehicles and trains, quantum computers, new energy, and genetics and cell technology.
In a significant step forward, CT Group has signed a major export deal on August 12, 2025, to supply 5,000 UAVs to South Korea, highlighting its leadership in the UAV sector and Vietnam's rising technological capabilities.
The Government leader has been ordered to review regulations and remove institutional bottlenecks to facilitate CT Group's access to land, infrastructure, and the concessional loan package. Further government support includes promoting CT Group’s tech products internationally, developing mechanisms for domestic procurement of locally-made technologies, and encouraging collaboration across ministries and localities to implement strategic national resolutions centered on technological advancement.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinch praised CT Group for its focused investment in cutting-edge innovations and urged the company to collaborate with ministries, sectors, and localities to implement the Politburo's strategic resolutions. CT Group's initiatives are progressing robustly, with multi-sector involvement and significant achievements, propelling the nation into a new development era.
