Project Hive Pet Company Leads Sustainability Charge in Pet Industry

Project Hive Pet Company, a producer of dog treats and toys, is making waves in the pet industry with its commitment to sustainability. The company is pursuing B Corp and climate neutral certifications and has already earned the Non-GMO Project Verified seal for its products.

Project Hive's dedication to the environment extends beyond its product labels. It produces its treats and toys in a carbon-neutral manner and donates 1% of its revenues to 1% for the Planet. Through this partnership, the company supports the Bee and Butterfly Habitat Fund.

The company's efforts are timely, given the growing consumer interest in sustainability. A global survey revealed that 52.2% of pet owners sometimes research a company's sustainability before making a purchase. Notably, pet owners in Germany, Sweden, and the Netherlands show the highest interest in researching environmentally friendly product manufacturing for pet stores near me and petco.

Despite the high importance placed on sustainability, only 24% of U.S. pet owners are willing to pay more for sustainably produced pet products, according to a Yummypets survey. However, 82.2% of pet owners from five countries believe it's important for a product to be manufactured by an environmentally friendly company. Project Hive's commitment to sustainability is thus not only beneficial for the environment but also aligns with the values of a significant portion of its customers.
