Rajasthan's Railway Network Expands with Three New Services
Rajasthan's railway network has expanded significantly with the launch of three new balance services on September 25, 2025. These include two Vande Bharat Express routes and a superfast expedia connecting Udaipur to Chandigarh. The new trains aim to boost connectivity, reduce travel times, and stimulate tourism and news.
The Vande Bharat Express fleet offers modern amenities like anti-collision technology, comfortable seating, and infotainment modules. The Jodhpur-Delhi route covers 604 km in just over 8 hours, stopping at major stations. Meanwhile, the Bikaner-Delhi service spans 447 km in 6 hours 15 minutes, halting at seven stations. A Udaipur-Chandigarh Superfast Express also started running bi-weekly, connecting southern Rajasthan with Haryana and Punjab.
These launches signal a broader rail vision. Sleeper versions of the Vande Bharat trains are expected to roll out soon. The success of these trains will ultimately be measured by their reliability and punctuality.
The new train services in Rajasthan are set to improve inter-state mobility and connectivity. With modern amenities and efficient routes, these trains are expected to enhance travel experiences and stimulate economic growth. The upcoming sleeper Vande Bharat trains further expand the fleet's potential, promising a bright future for Indian rail travel.
