Recognition Event 2025: Celebrating Pioneering Female Decision-Makers
In a grand ceremony held at the Travancore Palace, New Delhi on 20th March, the Grihshobha Inspire Awards 2025 recognised and celebrated the achievements of extraordinary women from various walks of life.
Published by Delhi Press, Grihshobha, the largest read Hindi women's magazine in India, serves as a source of comfort and inspiration to its more than 1 million readers for over 45 years. This year's awards honoured women in fields such as folk arts, governance, public policy, social impact, business, STEM, automotive, and entertainment.
Ms. Leeza Mangaldas was awarded for her excellence as Content Creator - Empowerment. Her inspiring work has undoubtedly made a significant impact on the lives of many.
Manjari Jaruhar was honored as Fearless Warrior - Icon for her trailblazing career in policing. Her dedication and bravery have set an exemplary standard for women in law enforcement.
Dr. Tanaya Narendra was recognized for Content Creator - Health, while Dr. Bushra Ateeq was honoured for Excellence in STEM. Their contributions in their respective fields are invaluable and have undoubtedly improved the lives of countless individuals.
Ms. Tillotama Shome and Ms. Konkona Sen were honored for Empowerment through Entertainment - Onscreen and Offscreen, respectively. Their powerful performances and advocacy for women's rights have made a significant impact on the entertainment industry and beyond.
Shabana Azmi was honored as Empowerment through Entertainment - Icon, further solidifying her status as a legendary figure in Indian cinema.
Dr. Soumya Swaminathan received the Nation Builder - Icon award for her significant contributions to public health and policy.
Viji Venkatesh was named New Beginnings - Icon for her advocacy in cancer care, while Amla Ruia was recognized as Grassroots Changemaker - Achiever for her pioneering work in water conservation.
Kripa Ananthan was celebrated as Changemaker - Automotive Industry, while Suparna Mitra, CEO of Titan Watches, was recognized as Business Leadership - Icon.
For preserving folk arts, Dr. Rani Jha was awarded Folk Heritage - Icon. Ruma Devi received the Grassroots Changemaker - Icon award for her commendable work in rural development.
Aditi Gupta, founder of Menstrupedia, was awarded Homepreneur - Achiever for her innovative approach to menstrual health education.
The awards were judged by a jury panel consisting of esteemed personalities such as Ms. Sathya Saran, writer and former editor of Femina, Ms. Padmapriya Janakiraman, popular Actor, Ms. Richa Shah, editor of Champak, Ms. Nuriya Ansari, President, Learning Links Foundation, Ms. Dilshad Master, Director, Outward Bound Himalaya, and Ms. Surabhi Kanga, web editor, the Caravan.
The Guests of Honor at the Grihshobha Inspire Awards 2025 included notable figures such as Ms. Aruna Roy, RTI activist, Ms. Indira Jaisingh, senior advocate, Ms. Shovana Narayan, renowned Kathak dancer, and Ms. Subhashini Ali, women's rights activist & politician.
