Record-breaking Gaming Revenue for National Indian Casinos Reaches $44 Billion
The Indian gaming industry has shattered previous records, reporting a staggering $43.9 billion in gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the fiscal year 2024. This significant achievement was derived from 532 independently audited gaming operations across 29 U.S. states, as revealed in a report published by the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC).
According to the NIGC, GGR is calculated by subtracting the winnings returned to players from the total amount wagered. The $43.9 billion figure represents a year-over-year increase of 4.6%, marking the fourth consecutive year of record-breaking revenue.
