Redesigned Engines and Fresh Equipment for the Hyundai Kona
The Hyundai Kona, a compact class SUV, is set to receive a minor model update for the 2026 model year, along with the introduction of a new trim option - the Line X. This South Korean automotive manufacturer's offering continues to be available in both gasoline and hybrid versions.
Pricing for the base model starts at 26,900 euros, while the top-tier Hyundai Kona Prime begins at 33,300 euros. The Line X, positioned above the sporty N Line trim, comes with a starting price of 37,200 euros.
For those seeking a more luxurious experience, the Line X offers full interior equipment, previously reserved for the top model Prime. Standard features include LED headlights and turn signals, as well as optimized seats and a digital vehicle key (NFC) for the Hyundai Kona Prime.
The Line X is only available in combination with one of the three most powerful engine options or the 138 PS (102 kW) strong hybrid. The most powerful Hyundai Kona model offers 180 PS (132 kW). The sporty Hyundai Kona N Line can be optionally equipped with an assistance package for 1,150 euros, which includes a 360° camera, blind spot warning, rear parking aid with emergency braking, and a cross-traffic alert.
Leather seat covers can be added to the Hyundai Kona Prime for an additional 1,500 euros. Optionally, a glass sunroof, a black roof lacquer, and a comfort seat package can be ordered for the Hyundai Kona Line X.
The entry-level Hyundai Kona model delivers 115 PS (85 kW). The Kona N Line, sandwiched between the base model and the Line X, is priced at 31,600 euros. The Trend model, priced at 30,100 euros, offers a middle ground between the Select and the N Line.
The Hyundai Kona, with its new trim and minor updates, continues to offer a versatile and accessible SUV option for consumers in the compact class.
