Reliance Planning to Establish a Rs 1,622 Crore Beverage Factory in Andhra Pradesh, Claims State Government, Indicating Generation of 1,200 Direct Jobs for Local Residents

Reliance Consumer Products Limited, a subsidiary of the Reliance Group, is about to set up a massive beverage production powerhouse worth a whopping Rs 1,622 crore at the Orvakallu Mega Industrial Hub in Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh. This bad boy is expected to roll out its first beverages by December 2025, and we're talking about more than just your usual soft drinks. This baby's gonna produce an array of refrigerated delights like carbonated soft drinks, fruit juices, packaged drinking water, and other chilly beverages.

The state-owned Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) has generously donated a plush 80-acre plot for this grand project at the cost of Rs 30 lakh per acre. You heard it right! 80 picturesque acres of land just for Reliance to concoct some fantastic thirst-quenchers.
Now, when it comes to deadlines, we're talking business. Land acquisition for the project is set to be concluded by June 30, and registration by July 20. Construction and machinery installation are on track to wrap up by next year, with commercial production kicking off in December 2026.
Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh took to X to celebrate the state's win, saying, "This is just the beginning of Rayalaseema's industrial transformation. Thanks to our visionary leader, CM Chandrababu Naidu, the unit will not only manufacture delectable beverages but also create 1,200 local job opportunities."
Industries Minister TG Bharat had earlier shared that Andhra Pradesh landed this investment by outperforming the competition. "Reliance recognised Kurnool's potential and decided to make it their beverage manufacturing headquarters," he said.
