Renowned Brand Poised to Revolutionize U.S. Truck and SUV Sector Yet Again
Scout Motors Unveils Plans for Next Generation Vehicles and Production Centre
Scout Motors, a new company formed in 2022, is set to reimagine the iconic Scout brand and grow its community of passionate fans. The automaker aims to build a totally new system for delivering vehicles, servicing them, and earning customer loyalty.
At the heart of Scout Motors' strategy are two vehicles: the Scout Traveler SUV and the Terra pickup truck. Both vehicles are designed to honour the credibility of the original Scout vehicles (1961-1980) while injecting modern performance and technology.
The Scout Traveler and Terra will be available in all-electric models or with the HarvesterTM powertrain, which includes a gas-powered generator for extended range. Both vehicles are described as "Connection Machines," connecting American truck heritage with modern ingenuity.
Customers can reserve a Scout Traveler, Terra, or both by visiting scoutmotors.com. Scout Motors is also building a highly engaged community forum for customers to engage with the company daily.
Scout Motors is investing heavily in its production capabilities. The company is building a production centre in Blythewood, South Carolina, spanning over 1,000 acres. Initial production is targeted to begin at the Scout Motors Production Center near Columbia, South Carolina, in 2027. The order value of the planned production facility is approximately $1 billion. The production center is projected to create more than 4,000 good-paying jobs and produce 200,000-plus vehicles per year.
Scout Motors prioritizes connecting with its community. The company plans on attending events, festivals, and community forums to engage with customers and the community. Scout Motors will also sponsor the Vintage Race Terra for the Baja 1000 rally.
The Scout Traveler and Terra will be capable of working hard and playing hard. They will feature payload and towing capacity, zero-to-60 times, accessories, and built-in power outlets. The vehicles will also include tactile switches, knobs, and handles to help connect drivers with their vehicles.
Scout Motors invites everyone to subscribe to email communications at scoutmotors.com for updates about the company's progress. The automaker is excited to launch the Scout Traveler SUV and Terra truck, designed to compete in the core of the U.S. market – rugged SUVs and full-size trucks. With an optional bench seat and Community UX, these vehicles are set to become the ultimate connection machines for Scout Motors' growing community.
