Research Data in Medical Analysis Field Transferred to RTI International Through Acquisition
RTI International, a renowned organisation known for its high-quality scientific delivery, has announced the acquisition of Medical Data Analytics (MDA). This move aims to strengthen RTI International's capabilities in the field of observational research.
MDA is a provider of real-world evidence (RWE) to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. The company specialises in non-interventional, retrospective, prospective, and ambispective medical chart reviews. MDA's expertise in study design and collection of real-world outcomes data has been integrated into RTI Health Solutions' project services.
The acquisition expands the services of RTI Health Solutions in the design and conduct of observational research. MDA also brings capabilities in data collection and management, and physician and site recruitment to the table. This will provide clients with deeper insights into the patient journey.
MDA uses a scientific, rigorous, and efficient method of data collection that employs screened and verified physicians as study investigators for data collection and validation. All employees of MDA are expected to remain with the business following the transaction.
E. Wayne Holden, President and CEO of RTI International, stated that the acquisition aligns with the company's corporate strategy. Chris Simmons, Senior Vice President of RTI Health Solutions, expressed his excitement about the new collaboration and the addition of MDA's expertise.
Nicole Siamas, MDA President and Managing Partner, believes that MDA's core capabilities are a natural fit for RTI Health Solutions. MDA will operate as a separate business operation of RTI Health Solutions during an orderly transition period.
The terms of the deal between RTI International and MDA were not disclosed. The collaboration between RTI Health Solutions and MDA is expected to enhance the delivery of a robust and integrated set of project services. The acquisition allows both organisations to continue delivering excellent service to their clients.
This acquisition is significant as it will offer clients deeper insights into the patient journey through the generation of clinical and economic evidence. The integration of MDA's capabilities into RTI Health Solutions' services is expected to provide valuable contributions to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
