Retail giant Ahold Delhaize USA names new Chief Financial Officer
Ahold Delhaize USA Appoints Jason Wilson as CFO
Jason Wilson, a seasoned retail and finance executive with extensive experience in the grocery industry, has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Ahold Delhaize USA, one of the largest grocery retail groups on the U.S. East Coast.
In his new role, Wilson will lead the company’s financial strategy and operations, supporting the omnichannel growth of Ahold Delhaize USA’s businesses. These businesses include traditional grocery store banners as well as e-commerce and digital platforms. Wilson is instrumental in delivering the company’s “Growing Together” strategy and their 2028 performance commitments. He is also charged with ensuring strong financial controls across the organization.
Wilson’s career at Ahold Delhaize USA began in 2000, when he started as an inventory controller in accounting. Over the years, he held various roles at Ahold Delhaize USA’s predecessor support brands, including director of business development, VP of strategy, and VP of finance and business planning. Wilson also held positions in category management.
At Food Lion, Wilson led all financial activities for the brand, which recently marked 50 consecutive quarters of positive comparable-store sales. He delivered considerable savings and made several successful in-market acquisitions, positioning Food Lion for continued growth.
Wilson is a native of North Carolina and is based in Salisbury, N.C. He earned his bachelor's degree in arts from Catawba College and an MBA from Pfeiffer University.
Meanwhile, Lynne Bruning-van Gessel has been appointed as the Brand President of Etos, succeeding Pieter Saman, who will work at Food Lion. Progressive Grocer has also named Ahold Delhaize USA one of its Retailers of the Century and among the 10 Most Sustainable Grocers of 2025. Ahold Delhaize is one of the world's largest food retail groups, with its family of local brands serving 63 million customers each week.
