Rheinmetall's 2024 Financials: Military Growth Drives Revenue

Rheinmetall, a leading global supplier of military technology, has released its 2024 financial results. The company's military segments saw significant growth, while its civilian Power Systems area experienced a decline.

Rheinmetall's revenue in 2024 was driven by its military segments. The Vehicles segment led with the highest revenue, growing by 45.2%. The Weapon and Ammunition segment followed, with a remarkable 58.5% increase. The Electronic Solutions segment also performed well, with a 52.5% growth.

The Weapons and Ammunition sector was particularly profitable, generating an EBIT of 790 million euros with a 28.4% margin. This was higher than the combined EBIT of the other three segments (729 million euros). The segment's strong performance was boosted by major orders, including a 444 million euro contract for artillery ammunition (155 mm and 105 mm shells) for an Eastern European customer, scheduled for delivery between 2026 and 2027.

Despite the military segments' success, the Power Systems segment, the only civilian area, saw a decrease in revenue of 2.2%.

Rheinmetall's 2024 financial results reflect the company's strong position in the military technology sector. While the Power Systems segment experienced a decline, the military segments, particularly Weapons and Ammunition, drove revenue and profits. The company's future outlook is promising, with significant orders on the horizon.
