Road shutdown of A8 highway in Pforzheim from December 1st to 4th, 2023
The Southwest branch of the Autobahn GmbH has announced that it will be carrying out construction work on the A8 near Pforzheim over the upcoming weekend, from Friday, December 1, 2023, at 8:00 PM to Monday, December 4, 2023, around 5:00 AM.
During this closure, the A8 will be completely closed in both directions between the Pforzheim-South and Pforzheim-North junctions. Simultaneous construction measures will include extensive crane work in the area of the green bridge, as well as necessary asphalt and slope stabilization work in the area of the "Karlsruhe Hill."
For traffic heading towards Karlsruhe, the detour will pass through Wurmberg, Wiernsheim, Niefern-Oschelbronn, Mühlacker, Ötisheim, Ölbronn-Dürrn, and the B 294. The detour will then rejoin the A8 at Pforzheim-North via the U26a, U28, B10.
On the other hand, traffic heading towards Stuttgart will be diverted via the U7a, U9, and the A8. The detour will start at the Pforzheim-South junction.
