Cyber_Folks Romania, a part of the international Cyber_Folks group, has made a strategic move to bolster its position in Romania's digital infrastructure and web hosting sector. The company has announced the acquisition of Hosterion, a leading independent web hosting provider, for a total of €6.7 million.

This acquisition is a significant step in Cyber_Folks Romania's strategy of growth through acquiring complementary local companies and expanding its operational capacity. The move aims to consolidate its leadership in the local digital infrastructure, cloud, and scalable web hosting services market.

With this acquisition, Cyber_Folks Romania is broadening its service portfolio, allowing it to offer more scalable and comprehensive digital solutions to clients in the Romanian market. The company's offerings now include NVMe web hosting, virtual and dedicated private servers, domain registration, and disaster recovery solutions, in addition to the services it already provided.

Adrian Chirută, co-CEO and shareholder of Cyber_Folks Romania, stated that the acquisition of Hosterion is another step in implementing their strategy to build a leading position in the field of e-commerce in Central and Eastern Europe.

The acquisition comes at a time when there is strong governmental and EU support for increasing digital skills and developing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for both public and private sectors in Romania, creating a favourable environment for Cyber_Folks’ expanded services.

Cyber_Folks Romania, which employs around 1,000 people, serves clients in over 100 countries and has a strong global presence. The company focuses on delivering secure, high-performance infrastructure and specialized human support. Cyber_Folks is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

The acquisition is expected to result in an over 15% increase in revenues for Cyber_Folks Romania in 2025. The company currently reports revenues of RON 29.7 million (€6.1 million) for 2024, up from RON 26.3 million (€5.6 million) in 2022.

Cyber_Folks serves entrepreneurs, digital creators, and large enterprises worldwide, and its operations are supported by two high-performance data centers. The company runs offices in Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, and Bistrita.

As Cyber_Folks Romania continues to expand its operations, it is well-positioned to capitalize on the increasing demand for digital and cloud services in Romania, driven by digitalization policies and market needs.
