Ronaldo aims to secure the Bayern Munich star; Saudi parties are reportedly courting him for a move.
Bayern Munich Bids Farewell to Kingsley Coman as He Joins Al-Nassr
In a surprising turn of events, Bayern Munich has lost one of its star players as Kingsley Coman has officially completed his transfer to Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr. The French international, who scored the winning goal in Bayern's 2020 Champions League final, has signed a three-year deal running until 2028.
Coman, who spent nearly a decade with Bayern Munich, expressed gratitude to the club and its fans, highlighting his achievements, including nine Bundesliga titles. He bid farewell with a heartfelt message, expressing his appreciation for the support he received during his tenure.
The transfer fee for Coman is reported to be around €30 million, with the forward set to earn approximately €20 million per year. This mega-salary offer from Al-Nassr seems to have given Coman something to think about, despite his initial desire to stay with Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has stated that they will evaluate the offer and its implications for the club before making a decision. The Bavarian giants are expected to seek a replacement, with Chelsea winger Christopher Nkunku linked as a potential candidate.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich has strengthened its squad with the arrivals of Luis Diaz from FC Liverpool, Jonathan Tah from Bayer 04 Leverkusen, and Tom Bischof from TSG Hoffenheim. Diaz's signing fills the position on the left wing, Tah bolsters the defense, and Bischof provides a promising prospect for the future.
On the other hand, there are no current indications that Woltemade will leave Stuttgart, despite rumours suggesting otherwise. Woltemade, who has a contract with Stuttgart until 2028, would like to take the next step in his career. However, Stuttgart is aiming for a transfer fee of at least €65 million for Woltemade, while Bayern Munich has reportedly offered €55 million including bonus payments.
The Saudi club's squad already includes Cristiano Ronaldo's compatriot Joao Felix and former Liverpool and Bayern professional Sadio Mane. It is said that Ronaldo supports the signing of Kingsley Coman by Al-Nassr.
As Bayern Munich evaluates its options, it is currently not actively pursuing further new stars but is monitoring the transfer market. The club remains satisfied with its current squad, as President Herbert Hainer attested.
