Rug Radio Unveils PFP Collection at Art Basel 2022
Farokh Sarmad, a prominent figure in the NFT space, has announced that Rug Radio, his Web3 media company, will be releasing its own PFP collection at Art Basel 2022. This comes after the successful launch of Rug Radio as the first decentralized media platform in the NFT scene.
Rug Radio, launched in 2021, aims to give power to creators and consumers by offering a range of shows hosted by web3 experts. It has its own membership token, $RUG, with a floor price of 0.228ETH as of November 21, 2022. The platform also boasts a 'Rug Genesis NFT' collection, which are utility-wielding NFTs that allocate $RUG tokens to holders every month.
The Rug Radio Genesis NFTs were initially minted at a price of 0.111ETH each. All NFTs from this collection were sold out by January 12, 2022, indicating the high demand and interest in the project. The governance of the platform is managed through RugDAO, a decentralized autonomous organization that allows holders of the Rug Radio Membership Pass to participate and gain benefits from community participation.
