Ryanair Dominates European Skies with Record November 2021 Capacity
Ryanair continues to dominate European skies, operating over 15% of all total capacity in November 2021. The Irish low-cost carrier remains the largest carrier, flying more available seat kilometers (ASMs) to more destinations than its competitors.
Ryanair's dominance is evident in its total of 11.4 million scheduled seats for November 2021, surpassing the 10.8 million it offered in the same month in 2019. This figure is more than double that of its nearest rival, Turkish Airlines. Additionally, Ryanair offered the second-largest number of departure airports in Europe during the month.
Hungarian LCC Wizz Air, while offering the third-highest number of destinations at 132, ranks seventh in total departure seats for November 2021.
Ryanair's strong performance in November 2021 reflects its resilience and continued growth in the European aviation market, despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
