Scheduled restrictions on Munich's main railway line by December - Suspended Train Services
In an announcement by Deutsche Bahn, it has been revealed that there will be nightly restrictions on the S-Bahn trunk line in Munich from July to December 2025. The restrictions are due to construction work at the Ostbahnhof.
The S-Bahn trunk line, the main line of the S-Bahn in Munich, will be affected during these periods. The affected nights are July 28/29, August 18/19, September 8/9, November 10/11, and December 1/2, 2025, from 21:20 to 04:40.
During these periods, trains from direction Tutzing will run to the airport, and trains from direction airport will run to Tutzing. There will be replacement bus traffic between Trudering and Ostbahnhof for S6/S8 trains. Only one line (S4) will run between Ostbahnhof and Pasing during these periods.
The remaining lines will run as follows: S1, S2 (in/out direction Erding), S3 (in/out direction Holzkirchen), S4 (in/out direction Geltendorf), S5, S6/S8 (in/out direction Ebersberg). The S7 is not affected, as it no longer runs via the trunk line.
