Sergio Picarelli Assumes Role as Head of Operations for Acco Staffing Division within Adecco
In a significant move, Sergio Picarelli has been appointed as the President of The Adecco Group, the world's largest human resources solutions provider[1]. This renowned company, a Forbes 500 firm, is globally recognised for its leadership in HR solutions.
Picarelli, a 37-year-old graduate of Bocconi University, Milan, in Business Administration, will now oversee all operational matters at Adecco's largest business unit, which generates 89% of the Group's revenues. He will be serving as the Chief Operating Officer of the Staffing Division.
Picarelli's extensive experience in the industry is undeniable. He joined Adecco in Italy in 1993 and played a key role in developing major European markets such as Germany, Belgium, and the Nordics. Previously, he served as the Group's Zone Manager for Central Europe.
The appointment comes with a significant responsibility, as Picarelli will be leading a business unit that involves risks and uncertainties that could affect the company's future performance. These risks include investigations by governmental agencies or stock exchanges, US unemployment tax assessments, economic recovery pace, litigation, commercial relationships, stock price volatility, competition, and shareholder, creditor, or vendor reactions.
The company encourages investors to review the factors and risks associated with the business in its Annual Report on Form 20-F for the year ended December 28, 2003, and other reports filed with or submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
