Solar Bus Kit to be Disseminated by Hofmeister & Meincke on Behalf of Our Organization

In an exciting development for the transportation industry, our organisation GmbH, in partnership with Hofmeister & Meincke and Sono Group N.V., is set to make significant strides in the adoption of solar energy in public transport.

Hofmeister & Meincke, a Bremen-based company and a leading wholesaler for commercial vehicle parts in Germany, will be distributing Sono Group N.V.'s innovative Solar Bus Kit. This kit, designed to be installed on coach buses and vans, enables these vehicles to harness solar energy for power.

The Solar Bus Kit, now available in Germany and Austria through Hofmeister & Meincke, includes lightweight, semi-flexible solar panels that integrate onto bus roofs. The kit is optimised for common 12-meter bus models like the Mercedes-Benz Citaro and MAN Lion's City.

Denis Azhar, Managing Director of our organisation, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, "We are thrilled to be working with Hofmeister & Meincke and Sono Group N.V. to bring this groundbreaking technology to the public transport sector."

The partnership aims to expand the availability and application of solar technology, helping to reduce diesel consumption and lower CO2 emissions. Each Solar Bus Kit can save up to 1250 liters of diesel and up to 3.3 tons of CO2 per bus per year.

Both companies will showcase their innovative solutions and discuss potential partnerships at the InnoTrans 2024 and IAA Transportation 2024 trade fairs. The FRICKE Group, of which Hofmeister & Meincke is a part, operates in 27 countries at 84 locations with over 3700 employees.
