Take a Peek at Gazprom Neft's Green Revolution!

Setting the stage for a greener future, Gazprom Neft, a heavyweight in the energy industry, has unveiled their latest sustainable initiative – a 19MW solar power plant installed at the Omsk Refinery! This advanced project, inaugurated on June 23, 2025, bolsters the company's ongoing efforts to lead by example in the arena of renewable energy.

This expansion, now an integral part of the refinery's energy system, signifies a noteworthy stride towards the integration of renewable energy sources within Gazprom Neft's operations.

Paving the Way for Cleaner Energy:Fueling change, this solar power plant seizes the potential to revolutionize the refinery's energy consumption habits. The 19MW capacity implies a sizable contribution to the refinery's electricity demand, helping to curb dependency on traditional, non-renewable energy sources.

Arming Up Against Climate Change:With the transition to solar energy, Gazprom Neft's Omsk Refinery takes aim at greenhouse gas emissions and associated pollutants resulting from fossil fuel burning. This ambitious move aligns with the global and corporate drive to decrease carbon footprints, championing the use of cleaner energy.

Although detailed pollution reduction figures or the specific percentage of total energy consumption covered by solar energy remain undisclosed, launching a 19MW plant highlights a significant effort to reduce the facility's ecological impact.

"The launch of the second phase of our solar power plant underscores our dedication to sustainable growth principles and ecological consciousness," states Oleg Beliyavsky, General Director of Omsk Refinery. "Excited about the 5 million kilowatt-hours of renewable energy we generated from our first phase, we look forward to expanding the capacity to increase energy reliability, bolster productivity, and minimize environmental degradation. As we modernize our plant, we remain committed to implementing state-of-the-art technologies, building new facilities, and creating job opportunities for talented engineers and skilled workers."

The state-of-the-art complex encompasses 49,000 Russian-built photovoltaic panels, along with an energy storage system for stable operation. Despite undergoing testing in 2019, the plant's superior tech proved its might, making its mark during the second stage of the project.

Embrace the future, and make renewable energy a staple in our lives!

Investing in a Greener Future: This move by Gazprom Neft, a prominent player in the energy industry, demonstrates a shift in focus towards environmental science and finance, as demonstrated by the 19MW solar power plant installed at the Omsk Refinery.

Leading by Example in Sustainable Energy: The solar power plant, integrated into the refinery's energy system, marks a significant step in incorporating renewable energy sources into Gazprom Neft's operations, contributing to the reduction of their dependency on traditional, non-renewable energy sources.

Empowering Green Industry Growth: With the installation of the solar power plant, Gazprom Neft is not only investing in cleaner energy but also paving the way for the expansion and growth of the renewable energy industry, fostering job opportunities for talented engineers and skilled workers.
