Strict Lockdown Enforced on Sundgauallee, Freiburg, Due to Unwarranted Vegetation Trimming
In the heart of Freiburg, motorists will face a two-day traffic disruption on the Sundgauallee. The affected section, stretching from Lehener Street to Berliner Allee, will be closed to traffic on Thursday, September 25, and Friday, September 26.
The City of Freiburg has announced the closure as part of green clearance works being carried out by the Garden and Civil Engineering Office (GuT). The works aim to maintain the slope along Sundgauallee and ensure traffic safety.
On Thursday, the closure will take place from 7 am to 4 pm. However, on Friday, the disruption will last only until 1 pm. This means that the closure will not affect the entire day on Friday.
During the closure, a detour has been signposted for traffic on Sundgauallee. Cyclists and pedestrians can continue to use the route without disruption.
The information about the road closure and detour has been provided by the City of Freiburg. The green cutting works are being conducted to maintain the aesthetic and safety of the area.
The closure will cause a traffic disruption in the Stühlinger area near the town hall. While this may cause some inconvenience, the works are necessary to ensure the safety and maintenance of the Sundgauallee.
The person responsible for carrying out the green clearance work on Sundgauallee in Freiburg has not been publicly specified. Nonetheless, the City of Freiburg assures residents and visitors that all necessary precautions are being taken to complete the works efficiently and safely.
Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and to follow the detour signs. The City of Freiburg thanks everyone for their understanding and cooperation during this time.
