Lichtenau - Road closure coming on Tuesday in Lichtenau (Mittelsachsen district)!
According to the Saxon State Road Administration and Transport Office (LASuV), the aforementioned section of the B107 will experience repairs on its asphalt surface and base layers following road surface damage.
"The B107 will be fully shut down at the construction site from Tuesday," announced the LASuV.
This work is a direct continuation of the maintenance previously carried out between the exit of Markersdorf/Kolonie and the Kothensdorf branch, which was completed on Friday.
Chemnitz Roadworks: Route Diversions on Leipzig Street and A4
Due to the full closure, traffic from Chemnitz will detour from Wittgensdorf via the K6152 towards Wasserschänke roundabout, then proceed via Herrenhaider Straße and Neue Herrenhaider Straße to Burgstädt, before rejoining the B107 via the S241. The opposite direction will employ the same detour.
"Drivers coming from Auerswalde heading towards Chemnitz are advised to use the S200 and then the B169 via Oberlichtenau," suggests the LASuV.
Expected Completion and Funding
The work is expected to be completed by around June 17, with estimated costs totaling around €30,000—all of which will be covered by federal funds.
