Third Annual European Green Aluminum Conference of 2025
Third European Green Aluminium Summit to Discuss Aluminium Recycling and Circular Economy
The third edition of the European Green Aluminium Summit is set to take place in Duesseldorf, Germany on November 11-12, 2025. Organised by ECV International, the event aims to bring together policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators to explore the role of aluminium scrap in Europe's circular economy and green transition.
The summit will focus on advancing aluminium's role in Europe's green transition, covering areas like Green Aluminium Production, Energy Transition, Recycling & Circular Economy, and Policy & Legislation. Key topics to be discussed include the strategic importance of aluminium scrap in circular economy and climate targets, challenges from global scrap export restrictions and market distortions, policy gaps between EU ambitions and instruments, and industrial sovereignty and employment related to aluminium recycling.
The event will provide a platform for networking, knowledge-sharing, cooperation opportunities, roundtables, workshops, and exposure for participants. ECV International, a conference consulting company known for organising high-level international summits, serves most of the Fortune 500 multinationals and international companies.
Aluminium plays a vital role in reducing emissions across sectors like construction, packaging, and electric vehicles. The European Union's Green Deal aims for climate neutrality by 2050, with interim targets of a 55% emission reduction by 2030 and up to 95% by 2040 compared to 1990 levels. The European Green Aluminium Summit 2025 will serve as an opportunity to discuss technological innovations, low-carbon aluminium production, closed-loop recycling, electrolysis reinvented, building a low-carbon supply chain, energy efficiency improvements, panel discussions on the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, expanding aluminium recycling in Europe, innovative aluminium solutions for the automotive/aerospace industries, aluminium surface treatment technologies, digital transformation, and strategic resilience.
