NBC's shaking things up with their lineup! The network's new prison drama, The Hunting Party, is now scheduled to debut a tad earlier than expected. January 19 at 7 p.m. ET will see the series take the stage, following the NFL divisional playoff game and NBC Nightly News. This earlier premieres aims to draw a broader audience, with new episodes continuing on February 10 at their original 10 p.m. ET slot, before moving back to their usual Monday night time slot.
This high-concept crime procedural, brought to you by Universal Television, centers around a team of investigators tackling the country's most dangerous fugitives. All of them have managed to escapes from a top-secret prison that's rumored to not even exist. The series follows the chaos that ensues after an explosion at this clandestine prison, and the formation of this elite squad to handle the situation and preserve the secret.
The Hunting Party boasts a talented cast that includes Melissa Roxburgh, Nick Wechsler, Patrick Sabongui, Josh McKenzie, and Sara Garcia. Keto Shimizu, Jake Coburn, and JJ Bailey (who also serves as the show's creator) take on the roles of writer and executive producer. Thor Freudenthal also joins as the director and executive producer.

The shift in premiering The Hunting Party earlier will allow more viewers to catch the series, while also keeping the audience intrigued as it shifts back to its original time slot. Episodes not airing on NBC will still be available to stream on Peacock, starting from January 20.
