Title: Predicting Rossmann Store Sales by 2023: An Analysis

Rossmann, the popular German drugstore chain, continues to thrive, setting sights on surpassing its record turnover of 2023 in the upcoming year. With expansion on the horizon, the centaur in Rossmann's logo is set to adorn numerous new branches.

Rossmann's success in 2024 resulted in a 10.2% increase in turnover, reaching 15.3 billion euros. Despite keeping profit figures under wraps, the company now employs over 64,700 individuals and operates almost 5,000 branches worldwide. Germany remains Rossmann's strongest market, generating 9.9 billion euros in sales and employing approximately 39,700 people.

Rossmann's foreign business has become increasingly significant, contributing 5.4 billion euros to the company's total turnover.Enabled by more than half of its branches and a third of its revenue coming from international markets, Rossmann is active in Spain, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Albania, Turkey, Kosovo, and Denmark (where an online shop was launched in 2021). As of December 2024, Rossmann has also set foot in Switzerland, marking 250 new branches opened that year.

Aiming for further growth, Rossmann plans to invest 540 million euros in expansion for the new business year 2025, an increase of 150 million euros compared to the previous year. To support this expansion, Rossmann will open an additional 330 branches, including 75 in Germany.

With expansion in Spain being a key focus, Rossmann has adapted its digital tools to effectively plan store space and shelves for worldwide use. Symphony AI, which has proven successful in Germany, and Relex, used for inventory optimization, hold prominent roles in Rossmann's international IT reference architecture.

Rossmann's global footprint expands across nine European countries, with a total of 4,966 markets and a workforce of 65,500 people. With a substantial presence and commitment to expansion, Rossmann continues to make its high-quality services and optimized operations available to customers worldwide.
