Remember, as of April 14, 2025, exchange rate controls are a thing of the past. In its place, a new floating band scheme has been introduced, ranging from $1000 to $1400, adjusting 1% every month based on supply and demand. So, folks can buy their dollars freely, no more restrictions of US$200, though there's still a US$100 per month cap on cash dollar purchases at the window to safeguard the formal economy.

Now, let's see how the big dogs, the National Bank and Bank of Galicia, are weighing in on the dollar's value. The National Bank sets it at $1205.00, while the Bank of Galicia shows it at $1199.50.

Interestingly enough, on the previous business day, we witnessed the US currency trading at similar values: $1165.57 for acquisition and $1209.78 for conversion.

The past five business days have seen an upward trend for the official dollar, noting a 2.05% increase. Previously, its value was $1136.23 for acquisition and $1180.19 for conversion.

The MEP dollar's quotation is defined based on the AL30 bond's quotation, which is obtained through the purchase and sale of financial assets quoted in pesos and dollars.

CCL Dollar or "Contado con liquidación"

On June 27, the CCL dollar, or "contado con liquidación," is quoted at $1202.03, indicating a stable value compared to the last business day.

Last but not least, the Central Bank charges $1189.00 for each dollar it trades. This value aligns with last business day's price, showing a movement of less than 1%.
