According to data from hh.ru, the number of vacancies in the sector has nearly doubled compared to the same period last year.

Agronomists, vegetable growers, greenhouse workers, and milkers are in high demand, with job seeker activity increasing by 30%, 39%, 45%, and 31% respectively. The average salary offers for these positions range from 63,900 to 82,400 rubles.

Tractor driver-mechanics and zootechnicians are also seeing a rise in job opportunities, with an 85% increase in zootechnician job seeker activity and average salary offers of 81,000 rubles. The tractor driver-mechanic position offers a starting salary of 150,000 rubles.

For those seeking higher positions, the agricultural sector offers attractive starting salaries. The chief agronomist position offers a starting salary of 215,000 rubles, while the chief veterinarian and the leading zootechnician for cattle positions offer salaries of 180,000 and 120,000 rubles respectively. The senior veterinarian for cattle position offers a starting salary of 120,000 rubles.

The analysts from hh.ru identified Moscow as the region in Russia with the highest salaries for agricultural specialists at the beginning of August 2025. Among the highest-paying professions in the sector are veterinarians, agronomists, zootechnicians, milkers, and harvesters, with average salary offers ranging from 76,800 to 98,700 rubles.

Employers in the agricultural sector are most often looking for agronomists, vegetable growers, greenhouse workers, agricultural workers, and milkers. This trend suggests that the sector is growing and offers promising opportunities for those seeking a career in agriculture.
