The British Exporters Association (BEXA) has seen a change in leadership, with Richard Hill of BAE Systems taking over as the new chairman. Hill, who previously served as a deputy to Sue Walton, follows in the footsteps of Dr. Carl Hunter OBE, who held the position from May 2022 until May 2024.

Meanwhile, UK Export Finance (UKEF) has announced a significant boost to its capacity, with an additional £20bn now at its disposal. This increase is expected to support British businesses in their export endeavours and bolster the UK's position in the global market.

In a notable development, BAE Systems and UKEF have reached a deal over historic Iran weapons sales. The details of this agreement remain undisclosed, but it marks a significant step towards resolving past disputes and strengthening the relationship between the two entities.

On a separate note, the Recovery Advisers have made two key appointments. They have hired Guile as their business development manager for UKESG efforts, and this move is expected to bolster their initiatives in this area. The Recovery Advisers have also announced that Guile will be responsible for their efforts related to the UK Export and International Trade Expo (UKESG).

Sue Walton, the former chairman of BEXA, has also made a notable move. She has left BEXA to become the chief executive of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. Walton, who was previously associated with Rolls-Royce Capital, was instrumental in guiding BEXA during her tenure.

The GTR-BExA Young Exporter Awards, an initiative aimed at recognising future leaders in exporting, has also seen some significant developments. UKEF's aerospace deputy was among the recipients of this prestigious award, underscoring the organisation's commitment to nurturing talent in the export sector.

The British Exporters Association (BEXA) and UK Export Finance (UKEF) continue to play crucial roles in supporting British businesses in their export endeavours. With new leadership at BEXA and a significant capacity boost for UKEF, both organisations are well-positioned to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the global market.

The financial capacity of UK Export Finance (UKEF) has increased by £20bn, aiming to bolster British businesses in their international trade and enhance the UK's competitiveness in the global market.
