United Road Satisfied with North American Reach, Eyes Consolidation
United Road, a leading finished vehicle logistics company, has expressed satisfaction with its current North American reach and services, while keeping an eye on consolidation opportunities. Meanwhile, changes in leadership have occurred at both United Road and General Motors' finished vehicle logistics division.
In May 2023, United Road saw a shift in its chair role, with CEO Mark Anderson taking over from Kathleen McCann. This change comes as the company maintains a positive outlook on its geographic reach and services in North America, but remains open to consolidation possibilities in the region.
Over at General Motors, a leadership change occurred in August when Cristina Bueno Learman replaced Anthony Clevio as the director of global finished vehicle logistics. Clevio, before his departure, had the opportunity to speak at the 2023 Finished Vehicle Logistics North America conference.
United Road's leadership change and stance on consolidation present an interesting dynamic in the North American finished vehicle logistics market. Meanwhile, GM's appointment of Cristina Bueno Learman as the new director signals a fresh approach to global finished vehicle logistics.
