Unsecured cargo incident at the Polish-Hungarian border: Three heavy silos slide off a moving truck during transit
In an incident that took place on Friday, September 5, 2025, the Hagen Police traffic team took action against a truck driver for transporting unsecured cargo. The incident occurred at around 10:20 AM on Feithstraße towards Luetzowstraße in Hagen.
According to the reports, the truck was carrying three silo containers on wheels, each weighing several hundred kilograms. The driver had not secured the containers before starting his journey, leading to the police intervention.
Upon stopping the vehicle, the officers found that the cargo was not properly secured, posing a potential risk to other road users. Furthermore, additional unsecured containers filled with metal were discovered at the front wall of the loading area.
As a result of the violation, the driver now faces a fine of 60 euros and a point in Flensburg. The driver was also prohibited from continuing his journey until the cargo was secured.
