Dortmund, Germany - The Competence Center for Security NRW has announced a Safety Tour at Dortmund Central Station, scheduled for August 28, 2025, from 1 to 4 PM. This event is part of a series aimed at creating transparency and understanding about security measures in public transport.

The Safety Tour provides a unique opportunity for participants to gain deep insights into the processes behind the scenes of Dortmund Central Station's security. The tour will include numerous practical examples, prevention tips, and behavioral advice, offering a comprehensive understanding of the joint security efforts in public transport.

DSW21, the entity responsible for managing Dortmund Central Station's Stadtbahn station and the Königswall passage, is collaborating closely with other actors to highlight their cooperative effort. The Safety Tour will demonstrate these collaborative efforts, aiming to create long-term transparency and strengthen the security feeling of passengers.

Interested parties can register for the Safety Tour on the Safety Tours - Competence Center for Security NRW website until August 22, 2025. Registration is limited to a maximum of 15 participants.

Leon Herf, Head of Security in the Transport Division of DSW21, stated that passengers can rely on a sophisticated system ensuring safety in Dortmund's public transport. The Safety Tour has already received positive feedback in other cities where it has been offered, including Essen, Bochum, and Gelsenkirchen.
