Norton Rose Fulbright, a leading global law firm, has announced the launch of LX Studio, a US subsidiary focused on innovation and digitally-driven service strategies. The new entity aims to accelerate legal innovation and digital transformation, offering clients innovative legal solutions tailored to their needs.
Gina Shishima, Chief Strategy and Operations Partner of Norton Rose Fulbright, emphasized that LX Studio is part of an initiative to bring new opportunities to offer better services to clients. She stated, "LX Studio allows us to capitalize on our innovative focus and tremendous resources to offer new and different services to support clients."
Jeff Cody, the US Managing Partner, added that LX Studio's focus is to provide innovative solutions to enable clients to achieve their legal and business objectives efficiently. He explained, "Our clients want more than just legal advice; they want problem-solving capabilities. LX Studio is built to provide that."
LX Studio will provide knowledge, strategy, and tools to help companies maximize the value of their intangible assets and navigate complex intellectual property (IP) rights and regulatory landscapes. An international team of IP professionals will develop sector-based strategies to identify, protect, manage, and exploit intellectual property aligned with clients’ business goals.
The new entity will also offer a technology-led legal services model that integrates innovation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of legal advice. LX Studio will collaborate with legal technology companies, alternative legal services providers, and may partner with or invest in novel technologies.
Expertise in mitigating regulatory and IP risks related to new markets, product expansions, collaborations, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, insolvency, and competition inquiries is another key area where LX Studio will provide valuable support.
LX Studio will be home to Norton Rose Fulbright's award-winning privacy compliance tool suite, NT Analyzer. Christy Bentz, the Chief Client Value & Innovation Officer, expressed a desire to meet clients where they are, with LX Studio providing a platform for more intentional collaboration on the 'how' of legal service delivery. She also highlighted the importance of LX Studio in intentionally collaborating with clients on the 'how' of legal service delivery.
