Get ready for some fresh faces at Veltins Brewery! Fabian Veltins, a sprightly 35-year-old brewmaster, has been appointed as the new Marketing Managing Director starting July 1st. This move marks a significant milestone in Fabian's journey towards taking the helm at this esteemed company, rooted in the rich history of Germany's beer industry.
Fabian has been an integral part of the Veltins family for three years now, diving headfirst into various roles within the company. Before that, he honed his skills at other breweries, preparing him for his current ascent up the executive ladder.
Volker Kuhl, a familiar face at Veltins Brewery for over six decades, will continue to serve as CEO for now. In the long run, Fabian could potentially step into his shoes. Last year, Fabian shared his dream with dpa: "One day, I hope to become the mastermind behind Veltins Brewery." Susanne Veltins, Fabian's aunt, expressed her support at the time: "I want to give him the necessary time to learn the ropes beforehand."
Situated in Meschede-Grevenstein, Hochsauerland district, NRW, Veltins Brewery boasts more than 700 employees. This family-run powerhouse has been making waves in the beer industry, ranking third among the most popular brands in Germany, according to industry magazine "Inside," trailing behind Krombacher and Bitburger. In the fiscal year 2024, the company generated a revenue of 459 million euros, marking a 4.1% increase over the previous year. They also produced a record-breaking 3.36 million hectoliters of beer.
