The World Council of Churches (WCC) has released a new resource, 'Hope for Children Through Climate Justice: Legal Tools to Hold Financiers Accountable'. Both Mary Robinson and The Most Rev. Julio Murray, Anglican archbishop of Panama, have contributed forward pieces, stressing the moral urgency and legal necessity to address the climate crisis.

The WCC publication aims to empower people of faith and partners with knowledge on climate litigation. It focuses on protecting the rights of young people and future generations, providing legal tools to hold financial actors accountable for their role in the climate crisis. Robinson, a former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, emphasizes the importance of using the law as a tool for justice. Murray, in his foreword, underscores the moral imperative to engage with the law to safeguard the planet and its inhabitants.
