Website's long-time employee Mark Fedorcik to step down after three decades; Alison Harding-Jones promoted as Global Head of Origination & Advisory and joint head of the Investment Bank.
In a significant leadership change, Alison Harding-Jones has been appointed as the Global Head of Origination and Advisory (O&A) and Co-Head of Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank, effective from 1st April. This move follows the retirement of Mark Fedorcik, who has overseen a successful turnaround and significant growth in the O&A business over the past few quarters.
Mark Fedorcik, who spent his entire 30-year career at the bank, has announced his retirement from the banking industry to pursue a new challenge in the corporate sector. He leaves behind a legacy of success, having assumed global responsibility for the Investment Bank and the O&A business in 2019.
During his tenure, Fedorcik oversaw a strategic agenda for the O&A business, which Alison Harding-Jones has contributed to and helped deliver. Harding-Jones joined Deutsche Bank in January 2024 as the Global Head of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), a role she has made a significant impact on since joining.
Harding-Jones is no stranger to the financial industry, having worked at Citigroup in London and UBS (previously S.G. Warburg) in various senior roles. She is honoured to lead the O&A business globally and looks forward to continuing to deliver against the strategy of the Investment Bank.
Harding-Jones is impressed by the bank's strong team, global network, and expertise. She is confident in the potential of the bank's O&A business and is grateful for the partnership and passion of her colleagues and clients.
Mark Fedorcik expressed his gratitude for the support he received from his colleagues and clients over the years. He leaves the bank with a sense of accomplishment, having led the bank through a period of growth and transformation.
With Harding-Jones joining the Bank's Group Management Committee, the bank is poised for further growth and success under her leadership. The changes in the bank's advisory roles reflect efforts to revamp the investment bank's operations, and Harding-Jones is leading the first major restructuring of the origination and advisory teams under her tenure.
As Deutsche Bank moves forward, it is clear that Harding-Jones is the right person to lead the O&A business globally. Her experience, expertise, and passion for the industry make her an ideal fit for the role, and she is eager to continue driving the bank's success in the years to come.
"Alison Harding-Jones, in her new role as Co-Head of Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank, will continue to leverage her expertise in investment banking and finance to contribute to the bank's strategic growth."
"Harding-Jones, having made a significant impact in the M&A department of Deutsche Bank, will now oversee the global restructuring of the origination and advisory teams, aiming to enhance the bank's investment operations."
