Bitkom Expands Management Board and Reorganizes Divisions
Germany's digital association, Bitkom, has made several changes to its management structure. The organization has expanded its management board and reorganized several divisions, as reported in recent announcements.
The new additions to Bitkom's management board include Dirk H. Bürhaus as the confirmed chairman of the BDSW Regional Group Hesse, Daniel Schleimer as the newly elected chairman of the Bremen regional group, and Andreas Segler, who has been re-elected as head of the Lower Saxony regional group.
In terms of divisions, Bitkom has seen significant changes. Fabian Zacharias now heads the Politics & Society division, effective from November 14, and reports directly to Bitkom's CEO, Bernhard Rohleder. Susanne Dehmel is now responsible for the AI & Data division, while Niklas Veltkamp is in charge of the Technology & Transformation division.
The roles of the AI & Data, Technology & Transformation, and Finance & Organization divisions have been reshaped at Bitkom. Anja Olsok continues to lead the Finance & Organization division. Sophie Vogt-Hohenlinde has taken over the role previously held by Fabian Zacharias in the Public-Affairs team.
The Politics & Society division is a new business area at Bitkom, separate from the AI & Data, Technology & Transformation, and Finance & Organization divisions. This division is a new addition to Bitkom's management structure, headed by Fabian Zacharias.
It is important to note that the coverage mainly includes confirmations and elections in regional and specialist groups affiliated with Bitkom, not an official expanded central management board announcement. However, Bitkom has confirmed the expansion of its management board with the creation of new positions.
These changes are part of Bitkom's focus on continuing development and innovation across its divisions, as it looks to maintain its position as a leading digital association in Germany.
